Overview
In this role, you will build, maintain and improve scalable data pipelines and platforms that enable trusted data, analytics and AI across Pharming. You’ll translate business and data requirements into robust data models and reusable components, supporting data-driven decision making across global functions. You will collaborate with data owners, security, governance, and business teams to ensure secure, governed, and maintainable solutions. This is a chance to shape the data foundation for AI-driven care in a regulated, biotech environment.

Verantwoordelijkheden
- Build, maintain and enhance batch and real-time data pipelines and ingestion workflows
- Develop and maintain data models, curated datasets and reusable components
- Translate enterprise architecture into engineering implementations using established patterns
- Implement automated testing, monitoring, observability, and operational support practices
- Apply modern software engineering practices: version control, CI/CD, automation; use IaC where appropriate
- Contribute to continuous improvement of data-engineering methods and platform capabilities
- Ensure data quality, lineage, governance, security, and compliance in pipelines
- Support secure data integrations using APIs, event-driven or file-based patterns
- Collaborate with AI, analytics and business teams to enable production-ready data foundations
- Assess technologies, provide input on fit, scalability and lifecycle
- Contribute to knowledge sharing and documentation
Belangrijkste vereisten
- 4+ years of progressive experience in data engineering or related fields
- Experience designing, building and operating scalable data pipelines and platforms
- Strong SQL and Python programming skills
- Experience with data lakes, data warehouses or lakehouse patterns, ETL/ELT, orchestration, APIs, batch/streaming integration
- Experience with automated testing, CI/CD, version control; infrastructure-as-code is a plus
- Understanding of data modelling, data quality, metadata, lineage, observability, security and governance
- Collaborative mindset across cross-functional teams
- Ability to explain technical decisions to technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Problem-solving and proactive escalation of issues
