Overview
In this role you will lead the design and evolution of Swift’s compute, network, and database platforms, ensuring reliability, performance, and security. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to align architecture with business goals and technical requirements, while shaping platform standards and practices. You will evaluate new technologies to boost scalability and cost-efficiency and drive end-to-end architectural deliverables. This is a leadership-focused position in a regulated, fast-paced environment with a strong emphasis on security and resilience.

Verantwoordelijkheden
- Lead architectural design and evolution of compute, network, and database platforms
- Define and enforce architectural standards and guidelines for platform development and operations
- Evaluate and recommend technologies to optimize performance, scalability, and cost
- Collaborate with development, operations, and security teams for seamless deployment
- Develop architecture documentation including diagrams, design specs, and procedures
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior architects and engineers
- Participate in incident response and problem resolution for critical platform issues
- Stay updated on industry trends, security vulnerabilities, and emerging technologies
- Deliver end-to-end architecture aligned with business objectives and constraints
- Define and update Enterprise Architecture artefacts in Governance
Belangrijkste vereisten
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- 10+ years IT architecture experience
- 5+ years focusing on computing, network, and database platforms in large-scale environments
- Deep expertise in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) including IaaS, PaaS, and FaaS
- Extensive network architecture knowledge (TCP/IP, routing, firewalls, load balancing, security)
- Strong database experience (relational and NoSQL; Oracle, PostgreSQL, Cassandra, MongoDB) with HA/DR
- Proven track record delivering highly available, scalable, secure infrastructures
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Ability to operate in fast-paced, highly regulated environments
- Certifications such as TOGAF, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Cisco CCIE are a plus
