MIMETAS is looking for an experienced and driven Marketing Communications Specialist to join our Marketing & Sales team in the Leiden area, The Netherlands. Your role

As Marketing Communications Specialist, you will own and drive MIMETAS’ external communications across channels. You play a key role in shaping how our science, services, products, and brand are positioned in the market, ensuring consistency and clarity across all touchpoints.

You will work closely with colleagues across Marketing, Sales, Business Development, Product Management, and R&D to translate complex innovations into impactful messaging and campaigns.

What you will do

Develop and execute integrated marketing communication plans

Create and manage high-quality content (e.g., website, campaigns, brochures, case studies, whitepapers)

Manage and update the corporate website, ensuring content is accurate, up to date, and aligned with brand and messaging

Translate scientific concepts into clear, engaging messaging for different target audiences

Interact with scientists to translate biological datasets in a compelling marketing message

Manage social media channels (LinkedIn, X, BlueSky) and optimize engagement

Analyze campaign performance and optimize based on data-driven insights

Your profile

You have a Master’s degree in Life Sciences, or a related field

You have at least 3–5 years of experience in marketing communications, preferably in life sciences, biotech, or a technical B2B environment

Experience in a field related to cell culture is a pre

You are skilled at translating complex scientific or technical content into clear and engaging messaging

You are a strong communicator and stakeholder manager, comfortable working cross-functionally

You have a proactive mindset, take ownership, and have a keen eye for detail and quality

You have excellent written and verbal communication skills in English (native or near-native level)
