What You’ll Be Doing
As a Client Interface Developer for our NeoCloud, you’ll be at the forefront of delivering a seamless, intuitive experience between NeoCloud’s powerful hybrid cloud infrastructure and our clients. You’ll design and build a client-facing portal that abstracts away the underlying complexity of Kubernetes, OpenStack, and Morpheus Data, offering users a modern self-service gateway to manage and extend their cloud environments.
You’ll have the autonomy to shape the technical architecture, drive major decisions, and eventually grow a dedicated team to support the evolution of the platform.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and build a client portal that simplifies how users interact with our NeoCloud’s Kubernetes, OpenStack, and Morpheus environments.
- Create modular, reusable frontend components and scalable backend services using React, Python, and Go.
- Develop and maintain a clean, extensible API layer to enable third-party integrations and client-side automation.
- Build intuitive abstractions that turn complex infrastructure workflows into simple client actions.
- Ensure the client portal is user-friendly, secure, scalable, and production-ready from the start.
- Implement secure authentication, RBAC (role-based access control), and multi-tenant environments to support diverse client needs.
- Integrate observability, usage tracking, and feedback mechanisms directly into the client experience.
- Collaborate with product, security, and compliance teams to align features with business needs and client expectations.
- Take technical ownership of the platform’s architecture, evolving it as NeoCloud and our client base grow.
- Recruit, mentor, and lead a small engineering team as platform adoption scales.
What Your Day Will Not Look Like
- Manually operating Kubernetes or OpenStack—you’ll be building a higher-level interface on top.
- Working within rigid technical boundaries—you’ll help shape the architecture and product vision.
- Shipping features without clear client value—client needs and usability are at the center of everything you build.
What You Bring
- Hands-on experience developing cloud-native applications, portals, or platforms.
- Strong skills in React, Python, and Go, and a track record of delivering high-quality, maintainable code.
- Experience building or integrating with Kubernetes-based systems in production.
- Knowledge of OpenStack, hybrid cloud APIs, and best practices for platform usability.
- Comfort designing APIs and building modular, extensible services.
- A proactive, ownership-driven approach to setting technical direction and solving problems.
Bonus Points If You Have
- Hands-on experience with Morpheus Data or similar hybrid-cloud management platforms.
- Familiarity with service catalogs, policy-driven architectures (e.g., OPA), and platform product development.
- Experience building or contributing to self-service portals for infrastructure users or developers.
- Experience mentoring engineers or building teams from the ground up.
- A passion for creating intuitive, empowering client experiences in technically complex environments.
