As a delivery driver at
Albert Heijn, you drive your own route in our iconic blue vans and
deliver online orders right to the doorstep. You decide when you
work: in the morning, evening or the weekend. Perfect to combine

At your location, you
work together with an enthusiastic team of drivers. Together, you
make sure customers receive their groceries on time and with a
smile: at home or at the office. You represent what Albert Heijn
stands for: reliable, friendly, and always ready to help. With your
driving skills, you navigate smoothly, lift crates with ease, and
enjoy making friendly small talk at the
door.
Your job
as a Delivery Driver at Albert
Heijn:
- Before
departure: You pick up your scanner and route
information at the desk, scan your crates, and load your van safely
and neatly within our
guidelines. - On
the road: You deliver orders on time (including
chilled products right to the door), collect empty crates and
returns, handle payments when needed, and answer
questions. - Service
& safety: You check age for 18+ products (NIX18)
and log any issues or customer feedback via the
app. - After
your route: You unload and tidy up, sort empty
crates, return materials, and discuss special notes during the
debrief with your supervisor. You also report any defects to the
van or
equipment. - At
the HSC: Occasionally, according to planning,
you support the loading process, monitor departure times, and
report disruptions to the Team Lead
Delivery. You also handle issuing and
collecting materials when
needed. - Onboarding
colleagues: At times, you help train new colleagues
according to the onboarding program and, after instruction, conduct
a short driving
test.
As a Driver,
you
- In
possession of a valid driver’s license B (preferably for at least 2
years). - Available for
at least 2 shifts per week (including 1 evening
shift). - Flexible to
work morning shifts (starting from 05:45) or evening shifts
(starting from
14:00). - Willing to
work at least 2 Saturdays per
month. - Customer‑focused,
energetic, punctual, and driving safely is second nature to
you. - Confident in
Dutch and/or English so you can communicate well with colleagues
and customers.
Here’s
what we
offer:
- An
hourly rate of €20.17 including allowances and holiday pay, or
€15.15 gross per hour excluding allowances and holiday pay (from
age 21). - Travel
allowance (up to 45 km from your work
location). - A
