Chief Business Development Officer

As one of the firmly established leaders in the carrier billing and mobile content market, our portfolio already includes several major carrier groups and tier-1 content partners, including global brands such as the NBA. Our reputation and footprint are still growing, with aggressive rollouts of new content brands and operators already planned in.
We are looking for an entreprenurial, commercially-driven, strategic Chief Business Development Officer to lead our new business team. Someone who can continue to expand our portfolio of mobile operators and premium content providers globally.
You will own the worldwide commercial operation: strategy, sales, pipeline development, deal negotiation, partnership growth, and product performance. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who thrives in a results driven environment.
What You’ll Do
Strategic Leadership
· Define and execute the global business development strategy across telco and content verticals
· Identify priority markets, operators, and content categories for expansion
· Oversee targets and company growth objectives
New Business Development
· Develop new mobile operator relationships (direct carriers & carrier groups).
· Acquire and grow premium content partnerships (sports, gaming, streaming)
· Represent the company at international trade shows and conferences (MWC, AfricaCom, etc.)
· Have long-term expansion strategies for high-performing operator markets
· Identify underperforming partnerships and implement turnaround strategies
Contracts & Negotiation
· Lead commercial negotiations (rev share, MGs, billing flows, marketing commitments) with both carriers and content partners
Team Leadership
· Lead a team of driven and exerperienced sales people as well as relationship-oriented business developers
· Create clear KPIs, pipeline visibility and prioritise in line with company goals
Internal Alignment
· Ensure smooth management of signed deals into live and operational products
· Align internal teams with commercial strategy and pipeline
What We’re Looking For
• 8+ years in business development within:
Telco / mobile operators
Carrier billing / digital services
Mobile content aggregation
· Strong existing network with mobile operators / billing aggregators
· Proven experience negotiating partnerships
· Strategic thinker who can also execute
· Experience managing teams
· Comfortable with revenue targets and performance accountability
· Willingness to travel internationally
