Job Description

Eurofins BioPharma Product Testing Netherlands (EBPT NL) is seeking an experienced and client-focused Business Development Manager – Small Molecules to strengthen our Small Molecules sales team.

This role primarily focuses on account management and strategic collaboration with existing clients to ensure customer satisfaction and identify opportunities to grow service offerings. The emphasis is on fostering and expanding relationships with current clients, with a smaller portion of the role dedicated to new business development to complement our broader account management strategy.

Strong stakeholder management skills are essential, as you will navigate a complex internal organization involving at least six business units while ensuring seamless collaboration across teams. Additionally, this role requires contributing to a data-driven, customer-centric sales organization focused on continuous improvement and delivering exceptional value.

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing accounts, acting as the primary point of contact and strategic advisor for clients in the pharmaceutical market. Our clients include pharmaceutical companies, biotech companies, C(M)DOs, and CROs, who rely on GMP testing services to ensure regulatory quality and safety standards are met, enabling market approval and access.
  • Manage relationships with internal stakeholders across at least six business units, ensuring alignment and collaboration to deliver seamless client solutions.
  • Create and execute detailed account management plans to drive retention, satisfaction, and incremental growth within the small molecules segment.
  • Leverage in-depth knowledge of small molecule analytical and GMP regulatory requirements to consult clients and offer tailored solutions.
  • Collaborate with Operations and Project Management teams to ensure seamless project execution and superior client experiences.
  • Conduct regular client reviews to gather feedback, address concerns, and align on future testing needs and opportunities.
  • Identify and pursue opportunities for upselling and cross-selling small molecule-related services based on client requirements.
  • Contribute to the company’s sales strategy by conducting market research, analyzing trends, and positioning Eurofins as a leader in small molecule GMP testing.
  • Apply data-driven decision-making to improve sales processes and account management strategies.
  • Represent Eurofins at industry events and conferences to promote our testing capabilities and foster new relationships.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date client information in the CRM system to ensure effective account tracking and reporting.
  • Participate in internal initiatives to enhance client experiences and support Eurofins’ leadership in the GMP product testing market.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of an M.Sc. degree in Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Biochemistry, or a related field. An advanced degree (MBA, Ir., or Ph.D.) is preferred.
  • At least 3 years of experience in account management or sales within the pharmaceutical or biotech industry, with a focus on small molecule GMP testing.
  • Strong understanding of GMP regulations, small molecule analytical requirements, and regulatory standards.
  • Proven ability to manage complex client accounts and navigate multi-stakeholder environments within internal organizations.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.
  • A passion for customer-centricity, delivering value, and driving account-based growth in a regulated, quality-focused environment.
  • Strong analytical mindset with a commitment to data-driven decision-making and continuous improvement.
  • Fluent in English (both verbal and written); fluency in Dutch is preferred.
  • In possession of a valid Dutch work permit and located in the Netherlands.
