Automation Engineer – Leiden, The Netherlands
Contract Duration: 12 Months (Initially via Agency, transitioning to Direct Employment)

We are seeking a highly skilled Automation Engineer with a background in the pharmaceutical industry to join our client’s team in Leiden, The Netherlands. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in implementing and maintaining automation solutions for their pharmaceutical processes.
Key Responsibilities:
PLC Programming: Develop and implement programmable logic controller (PLC) programs to control and automate pharmaceutical manufacturing processes.
Process Control: Design, implement, and optimise process control strategies to ensure the efficiency and reliability of manufacturing operations.
System Documentation: Create comprehensive documentation for automation systems, including specifications, design documents, and test protocols to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
Review and Validation: Participate in the review and validation of automation systems, ensuring adherence to industry standards and regulatory guidelines.
Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including process engineers, validation specialists, and quality assurance, to integrate automation solutions seamlessly into manufacturing processes.
Requirements:
Pharmaceutical Experience: Proven experience working in the pharmaceutical industry, with a solid understanding of industry-specific processes and regulations.
PLC Programming: Demonstrated proficiency in PLC programming and troubleshooting within a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment.
Process Control Expertise: Strong background in designing and implementing process control strategies to optimise manufacturing processes.
System Documentation: Experience in creating and maintaining detailed system documentation, adhering to regulatory standards.
Dutch Speaking: Fluent in Dutch, with the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues, stakeholders, and project teams.
Immediate Availability: Able to start immediately and commit to a 12-month contract, initially through an agency, with the potential for direct employment with the client thereafter.
