*** Global QC Sample Management Specialist – On-site in Leiden – Full Time – Leading Biotechnology Company ***
Planet Pharma are currently partnered with a leading Biotech in the Netherlands that are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Global QC Sample Management Specialist to join their dynamic team in Leiden. This pivotal role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to groundbreaking therapies in oncology and immunology, supporting our mission to change lives through innovative science and manufacturing excellence.
What You’ll Do:
- Coordinate and manage the entire lifecycle of samples, including incoming, internal, and external lab samples, ensuring seamless logistics and accurate inventory control.
- Oversee the quality review and release processes for incoming goods and raw materials, ensuring GMP compliance at every step.
- Execute sampling of raw materials and maintain precise documentation within our ERP systems.
- Support the development, implementation, and improvement of sample management procedures, including deviations, CAPAs, and change controls.
- Collaborate daily with cross-functional teams such as Supply Chain, QC Operations, QC Science, and Regional QC to maintain operational excellence.
- Play an active role in implementing new processes and optimizing existing workflows to enhance efficiency and compliance.
Required Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in life sciences, biotechnology, or related discipline.
- 2–3 years of relevant experience in a GMP-regulated pharmaceutical or biotech environment.
- Solid understanding of GMP guidelines, documentation practices, and sample management.
- Familiarity with lab operations, with the ability to handle samples effectively.
- Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, capable of working collaboratively across functions.
- Experience with technical tools such as SAP, eLIMS, and SharePoint is preferred.
- Fluent in English with a service-minded and critical thinking approach.
- Adaptability to changing priorities and a proactive, self-driven attitude.
Nice to Have Skills:
- Experience in cell therapy or biologics manufacturing.
- Knowledge of lean and agile principles within a biotech context.
- Additional language skills.
Preferred Education and Experience:
- BSc in life sciences, biotechnology, or related fields.
- 2-4 years’ industry experience in biotech or pharmaceutical sectors.
Other Requirements:
- This position is 100% onsite in Leiden, with a duration of 6 months.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with flexibility and professionalism.
- Prior experience with GMP documentation and process support is advantageous.
