Quality Assurance Officer – Veterinary Pharmaceuticals | The Netherlands

A leading veterinary pharmaceutical manufacturer in the Netherlands is looking for a Quality Assurance Officer (QA Officer) to strengthen its quality team and help safeguard the quality of products trusted by veterinarians worldwide.
Your daily work
As a QA Officer, you’ll play a vital role in maintaining and improving the quality of the company’s pharmaceutical production processes. Working closely with colleagues from Production, QC, and Regulatory Affairs, you’ll advise on, monitor, and continuously improve operational quality performance.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Reviewing and preparing batch documentation for QP release.
- Creating, updating, and optimizing production protocols and related GMP documentation.
- Identifying, investigating, and proactively resolving deviations and GMP-related issues.
- Supporting operational departments to prevent and address quality issues through coaching and cross-functional collaboration.
- Performing internal audits and contributing to inspection readiness.
- Promoting a culture of quality by maintaining a visible presence on the production floor.
While this role is primarily daytime-based, you may occasionally support activities in shift operations or on Saturdays, and participate in on-call (standby) duties as part of a rotating schedule.
What you bring
- A Bachelor’s degree (HBO) in a relevant field (e.g. Life Sciences, Pharmacy, or Chemistry).
- At least 5 years of experience in a GMP-regulated environment, ideally in pharmaceutical manufacturing.
- Solid understanding of GMP standards and pharmaceutical quality systems.
- Strong communication skills and proficiency in Dutch and English.
- A hands-on, precise, and proactive attitude – with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Stress resilience and the ability to thrive in a dynamic, production-focused environment.
