We are hiring a Chapter Lead for the Platform Services Organization (PSO)! PSO is organized as an Agile ‘Tribe’ within Tech Platform group. Our mission is to provide compute, storage, connectivity and database as a service to our application delivery teams.

What to expect
Team/Chapter Lead (approximately 50% of your time)
As Chapter Lead, you will manage approximately 8-12 infrastructure engineers who are assigned to squads that specialize in Openshift/Kubernetes, Redhat Linux, Virtualization technology, Storage Arrays and systems backup.
You will perform people management activities, such as recruitment, assign engineering resources, set objectives, conduct performance appraisals
You will ensure best practices and recent trends are applied within the team, in terms of technologies and DevOps principles
You will follow future trends via education, conferences or articles
Build a culture of excellence and continuous learning, of knowledge & experience sharing between the members, allowing professional growth of the chapter members
Build a network outside the chapter, maintain relationships with all relevant partners
Orchestrate the feedback collection and foster a positive feedback culture
Virtualization Engineer (approximately 50% of your time)
As a Virtualization Engineer, you will work with the Product Owner and Squad members to design, implement, test and maintain of our VMware Platform
As a ‘hands-on’ member of the squad with strong interest in keep your technical skills current, you will be responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of our VMware Platform
You will work as a squad member making use of your IT infrastructure engineering expertise to deliver infrastructure as a service to our internal customers.
You will help to orchestrate the sound engineering of the underlaying platforms, automation and deliver as a service.
You may be part of the on-call rotation within your squad to help resolve critical service incidents and restoration of time-critical services.
Requirements:
Bachelors’ degree or masters’ degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent work experience) – Essential
Experience in designing, implementing, and managing VMware infrastructure – Essential
Hands-on experience with VMware products (including ESXi 7.0 and newer, Aria Operations, Aria Operations of Logs and Aria Automation) – Essential
Infrastructure performance tuning at hypervisor level, debugging and fixing – Essential
Network troubleshooting (in particular IPv4) – Essential
Good Knowledge of PowerShell and the PowerCli library – Essential
Block storage and FC SAN experience – Nice to have
Basic Linux skills – Nice to have
HPE ProLiant experience – iLO, HPE OneView – Nice to have
DevOps / IAC tools experience – Terraform, Ansible – Nice to have
Relevant industry certifications
