Jobid=54af8054f494 (0.0565)

Are you ready to bring structure to complexity?

Europe faces unprecedented demand for reliable, interoperable and secure technology. Defence projects must move faster, with fewer errors and stronger traceability. In this environment you bring structure where complexity grows and that structure builds confidence. Your models don’t just describe systems, they connect people, decisions and data.

Join an international engineering group shaping Europe’s future in defence, space and maritime technology. A role that matches your ambitions and lets you make an impact for years to come.

Starion Group is looking for an MBSE Engineer to join our team in Leiden, The Netherlands.

In this role you help drive the adoption of Digital Engineering across Starion and its partners. You work on large-scale projects where system logic, safety and collaboration come together. Your first assignment will be within the Maritime and Naval domain, contributing to key projects for the Dutch Ministry of Defence.

About the client and location

Starion Group B.V. has offices in Noordwijk and Leiden, near key partners such as ESA’s ESTEC and the Galileo Reference Centre. Our Dutch teams work at the heart of Europe’s engineering ecosystem, developing integrated solutions for space, defence and security.

What you do

You develop system models that show how ships, aircraft or satellites work as one complete system. With Capella, you translate requirements into clear functional designs. With CDP4-COMET, you connect disciplines so that mechanical, electrical and software engineers work from one consistent source. You analyse design decisions, check safety margins, and make sure every step in the process is traceable and verifiable.

Your work helps reduce risk, improve performance and make faster, better-informed technical decisions. In an environment where technology evolves rapidly, MBSE builds the trust and structure that complex projects need.

Skills and experience

  • A degree in Engineering or a related field
  • Proven experience in Model-Based Systems Engineering
  • Hands-on knowledge of Capella, CDP4-COMET, PLM/ALM, SysML
  • Experience in Defence, Maritime or Aerospace environments
  • Ability to connect requirements, interfaces and verification logic
  • Fluent in English, written and spoken (Dutch)

Why join Starion Group

This role offers the chance to work in an organisation where system thinking and collaboration define progress. You contribute to projects that improve Europe’s security, autonomy and digital capability. We value clarity, curiosity and teamwork. You will find space to grow, learn and make an impact.

Benefits include competitive remuneration, flexible relocation support, and access to international training and development programmes.
