Your mission

Responsible for data management and statistical support, including analytical and administrative tasks.

Responsibilities and Tasks

  • Update and maintain the Activity Survey Form in Jotform and in other digital formats.
  • Distribute the Activity Survey Form annually among EBMT members and participating sites.
  • Keep track of completed surveys and provide daily support to participating sites.
  • Collect and clean Activity Survey data, develop automated checks and keep high quality of the dataset.
  • Apply practical understanding of the data and data processing methods.
  • Integrate data from several sources, data mapping when necessary.
  • Prepare, interpret, analyse, and visualize complex data. Produce relevant data sets, reports, charts, graphs and tables for statisticians, managers, Scientific Council, National Registries and other end-users.
  • Review reports, abstracts/manuscripts before submission.
  • Develop and maintain all documents (incl. manuals and guidance) and procedures related to the data management and data analysis aspects of Activity Survey in accordance with applicable legislations, regulations and standard operating procedures.
  • Instruct and provide guidance to less experienced staff.
  • Ensure data quality and completeness by performing data quality checks. Use system reports, analyses and medical knowledge to identify potentially problematic or inaccurate data in the database and/or reports.
  • Make corrections and resolve discrepancies. If needed, work with colleagues to discuss, clarify and resolve data ambiguities, inconsistencies etc.; to ensure data integrity.
  • Perform audits of own work or that of others to ensure conformance with established procedures.
  • On request or on own initiative take on tasks to contribute to the optimisation of processes within the unit.
  • Provide administrative support.
  • Participate in meetings with the business manager(s), the Scientific Council and/or external clients. 

Requirements:

  • Fluent in English, excellent oral and written skills.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Biomedical sciences or a related field. 
  • Minimum of two years of experience in data management / statistics.
  • Experience working with R and programming software. 
  • Experience working with Microsoft Office (Access) and Google tools.
  • Experience with administrative tasks
  • Knowledge of data management and statistical principles and regulatory requirements for data processing.
  • Ability to manage multiple activities effectively and to prioritize workload, within timelines and in good communication with colleagues, manager and external contacts.
  • Ability to produce data in a clear and understandable manner meeting user requirements.
  • Ability to work with data of varying levels of quality and validity.
  • Strong analytical, planning and organisational skills.
  • Attention to detail.

Desirable

  • Master’s Degree in biomedical sciences or (bio)statistics or a related field.
  • Knowledge and demonstrated experience with relational databases and data integration. 
  • Experience with other statistical software (eg. SPSS)
  • Knowledge of medical terminology (haematology)

  • Full-time position (36 hours/week)
  • Flexible working hours (starting from 8 am to 10 am and finishing accordingly).
  • 1-month probation period.
  • Temporary contract for 12 months (possibility to renew the contract if both parties agree).
  • 25 days of vacation per year
  • Salary: 3.178 euros to 3.763 euros gross/month depending on the experience, excluding end-of-the-year payment and 8% holiday remuneration.

Please note:
